Fun News for Shallow People is an editorial project that deals with the glamorization and trivialization of information through aesthetics and the influence of social media on the younger generation, that evidences their lack of awareness through parody and satire.

The reason for the project’s existence is the creation of a visual piece in response, and as a critic to this generation’s glamorization and trivialization of information on the internet.

The publication is part of the universe it narrates. The graphic novel traditionally tells a fictional story; or, in some cases, a true story. In this case, this publication tells a real situation but its treatment is fictitious. It is part of a parallel universe to ours, a newspaper, treating our reality in a parodical way. For that reason, I wanted to create an environment, or ecosystem around the main publication that would help understand which world this publication lives in and to whom it is directed. Creating a series of secondary pieces, which give context to the creation of the graphic novel. For this reason, I shaped the project as a learning kit.
